Central Entry Instructions
CENTRAL ENTRY, HOW IT WORKS , be prepared!
Submitted by Central entry secretary Gena McNeil
YAHOO!!! It’s almost time for you all to call me to enter the first spring rodeo! I’ve missed talking to you the past four months.
This month we’d like to give you an overview of how WSHSRA’s Central Entry works so you will be ready when Tuesday, March 25 rolls around and you call to enter Grand Coulee.
When you call I like to get your name first, followed by the events you are entering and whether you plan to compete one day or both. As we talk I enter the information into the Arena Manager program on my laptop and also record it on paper. Our conversation is also tape recorded for review in case of discrepancy. At the end of your call I will give you a confirmation number, which will be very helpful if we need to listen to that tape recording. When you check the draws on Thursday – whether online or by callback – if there is an error in your entry we can use the tape recording to verify and correct your entry. Rodeo draws are posted to the website – www.wshsra.org - on Thursday, which is two days after entries are taken. Callbacks are not mandatory, but it is much easier to correct any errors at that time, rather than wait until the rodeo.
Entries are taken on Tuesday from 6 am to 9 am and again from 6 pm to 9 pm for the rodeo which begins 10 days later. Callbacks are Thursday from 6 pm to 9 pm ONLY. If you miss central entry hours you will need to call the secretary for that rodeo, pay an additional fee and will be placed in the least advantageous position in the draw.
For the benefit of everyone please enter with me at the appropriate time. Messages left on my voice mail, or that of the rodeo secretary, are not considered an entry. We must talk to YOU.
Remember: Call me every Tuesday, beginning March 25th for Grand Coulee!
